DAN FRENCH became a music fan in the early 1970s, and since going to his first concert
in 1972 has travelled around the UK, Europe, to the United States and once to Australia for
many more shows, over 800 so far. Those included many Bruce Springsteen concerts,
covered in a separate book, ‘Grab Your Ticket And Your Suitcase’ (Trethewey Press, 2025).

Through more than 300 pages of ticket stubs, other concert and musical images, memories
and many previously unpublished photos, this volume of ‘Ticket Stub Stories’ features over
300 shows from the 20th century. Dan recalls:
